1923: Who are the characters of the prequel of Yellowstone?

Saga fans Yellowstone who have not yet subscribed to Paramount+ can now discover the first season of the Prequelle series 1923 on the streaming platform Netflix.

The show introduces new members of the Dutton family to the time of prohibition, at the dawn of the great depression. But who are they? Digital helps you to find yourself there in the Dutton family tree.

The Dutton after 1883

If Yellowstone tells the story of John Dutton III (Kevin Costner) and his descendants (Lee, KayceBeth and Jamie), the shows 1883 And 1923 Go up three and then two generations before.

In 1923we find these two sons, as well as Elsa as a narrator of the series. John (first of the name) is now played by James Badge Dale while Spencer is camped by Brandon Sklenar.

John is married to Emma Dutton (Marley Shelton) and they have a son, Jack (Darren Mann), crazy in love with Elizabeth Strafford (Michelle Randolph).

Since the death of James and Margaret Dutton, the Yellowstone Ranch has been taken over by James’s brother Jacob Dutton, with the help of his wife Cara. The two characters are embodied by Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren in 1923.

Jacob and Cara have never had any children, but they took care of John and Spencer when their parents’ death.

When the series 1923 Begins, Spencer is a hunter in Africa, where he has been working for the British since the end of the First World War, in which he participated. It has therefore been several years that he did not set foot in Montana, nor seen his family.

We will not reveal to you the rest of the Dutton family tree, so as not to spoil the surprise to know who, in all these beautiful people, is the direct ancestor of the character of Kevin Costner in Yellowstone. In the same way, we let you discover who is actually Teonna (Aminah Nieves).

Note, however, that for the moment only the first season of 1923 is available on Netflix. To discover the outcome of its story, you will have to see season 2 on Paramount+whose offer is also available in the formulas “Ciné series” and “The total” of Canal+.
