History
Installed in the former medieval residence of the lords of Crépy-Nanteuil, the archery and Valois museum preserves a very beautiful collection of statues from the Middle Ages to the 19th century from more than thirty churches and chapels in Valois , from which a beautiful set of medieval and Renaissance statues stands out.

Unique in France, the museum bears witness to the diverse practice of archery throughout the world, from Prehistory to the present day, and particularly to the centuries-old traditions of archery companies.

Archery, a unique collection in France

Prehistoric weapons developed more than 10,000 years ago, the bows of Olympic champions or the latest innovations from hunting bow makers, the museum's collections bear witness to the diversity and evolution of practices linked to archery.
Far from being confined to the Western sphere, they evoke the presence of the arc on all continents.
Today, the arch companies of Valois, as well as those of Picardy and Île-de-France, faithfully maintain the traditions of the “noble game of archery”.
