After classic leaks of which only Ubisoft has the secret, things are now official for the project so far called Assassin's Creed Red. Assassin's Creed Shadowscoming to PC/Mac (Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series fans of the franchise: 16th century Japan (Sengoku era).

Two heroes for two playstyles

Although we will have to wait to see some gameplay, the trailer first tells us that two characters will be playable. Players will be able to alternate between Naoe, a cunning, agile and stealthy shinobi, and Yasuke, a charismatic samurai from Africa with more muscular methods. Everyone will necessarily have their own style, personal skills, and suitable equipment. Throughout the adventure, we will therefore follow two stories, while they will have to ally themselves as Japan enters a new era.

As usual, Ubisoft opened pre-orders for its game well in advance. Four versions will be available, from the most basic containing the game alone and some pre-order bonuses (70 euros) to the most exclusive (180 € and sold by only a few partners) including many cosmetic bonuses, a season pass, 3 days of access anticipated to the game and some collectibles, including a statuette representing Naoe and Yasuke, tsubas (the element of the saber which separates the blade from the handle, and very richly decorated), lithographs, a steelbook…

Other Assassin's Creed games in the pipeline

After Valhalla in 2020 and Mirage in 2023, and beyond Assassin's Creed Shadows for the end of 2024, remember that Ubisoft is already working on other titles for the license. A mobile game codenamed Jade is in the works at Tencent, as is a mysterious major game codenamed Hexe. According to rumors, the first would take place in China, while the second would choose the witch hunt in Central Europe as its setting.
