If you closely follow automotive news, you have undoubtedly seen many new products, most of them electric, entering the catalog of French manufacturers in recent months. The Renault 5 E-Tech obviously takes the top spot, just like the ë-C3 from Citroën or even the e-3008 from Peugeot.

The schedule of the three main French manufacturers should not slow down, since several important new models are expected. Here is a quick overview of the new French cars that we should discover in the coming years.

Renault: what's new, here you go!

With its “Renaulution” plan, the diamond firm has the most comprehensive schedule. So, just this year, Renault is launching the restyling of the Captur, the Rafale in a 300 hp 4×4 hybrid version and the Symbioz, a sort of large Captur. At the start of the school year, it will be the turn of Renault 5 E-Tech to arrive on our roads.

Renault 5 E-Tech

In 2025, Renault will launch the R4 E-Tech, an SUV version of the R5 that is 100% electric, of course. It will be presented in the first semester. After around 4 years of good and loyal service, the Mégane E-Tech will be entitled to a small restyling, while the Austral / Espace duo, which share the same architecture, will also undergo a makeover.

The year 2026 should be a little calmer at Renault, despite a big new feature: the new generation of Twingo presented at the start of the 2026 school year. It is announced at a price of less than €20,000.

Peugeot: two important new cars coming

After putting the 3008 into orbit, Peugeot will tackle its 7-seater variant, the 5008, which will arrive on our roads in September 2024. A month later, we should discover the electric version of the 408 crossover.

Peugeot 5008

In 2025, the lion firm should reduce its activity somewhat, with the restyling of the 308 and its electric version. The following year will be crucial for Peugeot, with the launches of the new generations of 208 and 2008, two new products which could be 100% electric.

Citroën: room for pragmatism

As for Citroën, the range has shrunk dramatically in recent years. However, several important new features are expected for the herringbone brand, notably in 2024 with the launch of Citroën C3 and C3 Aircross.

Citroën C3 Aircross

In 2025, a version costing less than €20,000 of the ë-C3 will be launched, while the C4 will be entitled to a restyling. At the same time, Citroën should present the new generation of its C5 Aircross, in five and seven seats. For the first time, it should benefit from a 100% electric engine. It should be based on the same technical bases as the Peugeot e-3008 and the new Opel Grandland.
