Having a digital assistant at the end of your nose, literally. This is Solos's stance, which then announces the release of a pair of connected glasses, the AirGo Vision. So far, nothing alarming, except that these would integrate OpenAI's GPT-4o model. The market for connected glasses assisted by AI is not the most competitive, Solos is looking to establish itself over the long term and as an institution, given the youth of the sector.

A relatively young Hong Kong brand (2019), it has already made headlines thanks to its Solos AirGo 3 model, a pair of glasses already accompanied by ChatGPT which promised to translate conversations in real time, regardless of the language of your interlocutor. Building on this experience, Solos is repeating the process, this time by integrating the most recent version of OpenAI's chatbot.

In the footsteps of Ray-Ban

While this first model was based only on audio, the AirGo Vision will be equipped with a camera, allowing the digital assistant to interact in real time with the wearer's space. However, this functionality is not exclusive: the Ray-Ban Meta have already established themselves as a reference in this niche. The challenge is therefore considerable.

Prepared for all situations

To achieve this, versatility is key. Where the Ray-Ban Meta relies solely on its conversational agent, Meta AI, Solos allows its glasses to operate using Claude d'Anthropicbut also of Google Gemini. The same goes for its integrated camera. Without screens, call or message notifications will appear in the form of discreet LEDs.

Are you in a place where filming is frowned upon or even prohibited? No worries: the AirGo Vision are modular, you can opt for a frame without cameras. In addition to getting rid of the camera, it is also possible to switch from your prescription lenses to sunglasses very easily. To get these frames, expect to pay between €84 and €122 for the most expensive ones.

Although no price has been announced yet, the trend indicates a price above €230 ($249), where the Ray-Ban Meta, which Solos sees as direct competitors, exceeds the €300 mark.
