Chassis, connectivity, screen of the Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED UX5304MA-NQ103W

Ruggedized to meet the US military resistance standard MIL-STD-810G, this versatile laptop with a compact, thin and light Basalt Grey design has a discreet appearance.

This laptop has good connectivity including 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4, Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E wireless modules for communicating and connecting remotely, an audio port, a useful HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, but also 1 USB 3.0 (compatible with USB 2.0) ensuring transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect a USB 3.0 device.

Those who wish to authenticate themselves biometrically will appreciate that the webcam adopts Infrared technology allowing facial recognition.

The chiclet keyboard keys can of course be backlit to make them easier to see in limited ambient light.

Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED UX5304MA-NQ103W

The screen stands out with its High Fidelity DCI-P3 OLED technology providing color accuracy that is significantly above average with great black depth, minimal latency and also very comfortable vertical and horizontal viewing angles.
The screen also features a 2.8K definition superior to Full HD, here in 16/10 format which displays more information in height than the classic 16/9.
OLED induces a bright treatment which revives the colors but implies sensitivity to reflections in bright environments (e.g. outdoors).

Performance, battery life of the Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED UX5304MA-NQ103W

The Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED UX5304MA-NQ103W is aimed at those looking for an easy-to-carry, high-definition, high-fidelity laptop for everyday, versatile use on the go.

It is easy to transport to appeal to nomads as well as some wishing to equip themselves with a Student laptop because as a bonus it is able to last around 8 hours on battery with light use.

Logically, this Ultrabook entrusts its storage to an SSD, here with a large capacity of 1000 GB to install and store many software and files.

Remember that an SSD offers undeniable advantages compared to a hard drive: greater robustness, lower energy consumption, silent operation and even greater speed.

As a result, responsiveness and fluidity are much better with an SSD than with a hard drive.
In daily use, the SSD ensures faster start-ups/stops, processing and application launches than a hard drive, or even faster arrival on online game cards.

While there is no dedicated graphics card on board to appeal to gamers, it is nevertheless possible to play light to modest games on this Ultrabook if you are prepared to make some concessions.
We are thinking in particular of a reduction in the screen definition since 2.8K requires more graphic calculations than Full HD which results in a lower number of fps.

The graphics here are handled by the Iris Xe graphics solution which is housed in the processor and thanks to which you can obviously view HD photos and videos.

Asus ZenBook S 13 OLED UX5304MA-NQ103W

It is the Core Ultra 7 155U with 12 hybrid cores that houses the Iris Xe, an Intel Meteor Lake processor that is low-consumption, just like the large amount of RAM of 32 GB, twice the average. Suffice to say that we can see what's coming in terms of RAM!

This is particularly useful in areas that require a lot of RAM resources, such as multimedia. Here you can perform small, processor-limited tasks, such as photo editing or light video conversion.
