Manufacturers have definitely put the emphasis on video projection at the IFA in Berlin and Hisense has followed the trend with a new C2 series available in three models, the way of JMGO's N1S. Hisense didn't stop there, as a new 4K ultra short throw model is also coming out: the PX3-Pro. The two products are therefore very different, but are nonetheless interesting.

After a very successful C1 that passed through our lab earlier this year, Hisense has unveiled not one, but three successors that are similar: they all feature a triple laser displaying a UHD 4K definition, they are HDR10+ and Dolby Vision compatible and have an adjustable foot that was not found on the C1. Like all Hisense products, we will find inside the Vidaa U interface which is complete and offers a good number of applications of streaming.

The C2 in action.

The C2 is logically the least bright of the three with 2000 lumens announced. The C2 Pro climbs to 2600 lumens and offers better contrasts with IMAX Enhanced compatibility. The C2 Ultra is even brighter with 3000 lumens on the meter, but above all two interesting additions. It is Xbox certified with ALLM (Auto low latency mode) compatibility and can go down to 12 ms of display delay. We will check all this during our test, but it would be a record, and we could therefore play without problem on this video projector. As a bonus, the C2 ultra integrates a subwoofer in its foot for a much better rendering in the bass.

The C2 Pro.

The C2 Ultra will first hit the market in October for €3,200. The C2 Pro will arrive a little later in November for €2,700 and the C2 in December for €2,200.

The PX3-Pro for home cinema

The PX3-Pro.

After a few years of good and loyal service, the PX2-Pro has found its replacement. The PX3-Pro takes up the torch of ultra short throw video projection in 4K with an image of 80 to 150 inches and a triple laser. The manufacturer announces 3000 lumens, compatibility with all HDR, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision formats, and a new 50 W sound system by Harman Kardon is now embedded inside. The PX3-Pro should thus be able to compete with the Formovie Theaterbut we will not fail to test it from every angle.
