Apple: a second launch keynote planned for October for Mac and iPad Mini

Apple would have more than one trick up its sleeve for this fall of 2024. While the Cupertino firm unveils the iPhone 16 and its iterations early this evening, Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman claims that a second keynote would take place next month. Without giving a specific date, this presentation would offer a preview of the (very) Mini Mac, the M4 MacBooks and a revival of the iPad.

This generation of products marks a milestone for Apple. The launch of Apple Intelligence, in tandem with the iPhone 16, will represent the brand's first concrete step into the highly competitive field of artificial intelligence. As many news which will require all possible media coverage, justifying a fourth annual presentation to launch the final stretch towards 2025.

Especially since the latest rumors reported by Mark Gurman predict major changes to come for some of the historic products, starting with a thorough overhaul of the Mac Mini. Smaller than ever, the miniature office solution would return in a format similar to that of the Apple TV 4K, by embedding the new M4 chip — its first makeover since 2021. Similarly, the iPad mini would also make its return in a new model, as would the iMac and MacBook M4, the latter being at the center of rumors in recent weeks, with a launch a priori planned for next November.
