The IFA will definitely have been the venue for many launches on the video projection market in 2024 with Hisense, JMGO, Dangbei, Yaber And Samsungin particular. Xgimi also made its mark with no fewer than five models unveiled, including three at low prices that we have detailed for you in this article:
The other two models are in addition to the others are much more expensive products, but also much better equipped technically. We saw them at the Berlin show, here is an overview.
The Aura 2 for 4K ultra short throw
The Xgimi Aura is back with a brand new design that will fit much better into an interior. The beige color and the materials used are very effective and the format is now more compact. We find Xgimi's Dual Light 2.0 technology which combines laser and LED, while the brightness is announced at 2300 ISO lumens, which is rather bright.
It benefits from a 60 W integrated sound system, Dolby Vision compatibility and the Android TV 11 interface. This is a shame, because some much more entry-level models, such as the Halo+ and the MoGo 3 Pro have switched to Google TV. And there is a major difference: Android TV cannot run Netflix natively. You will therefore still have to go through an APK to download and navigation and definition will be limited. You will nevertheless benefit from all the other streaming apps (Prime Video, Disney+, Canal+, Molotov, etc.).
The Horizon S Pro and Max to complete the range
The Horizon Ultra passed through our lab and it turned out to be really good with its 4K definition, its portability and its automatic keystone correction features. It was accompanied in the catalog by a Horizon Pro 4K a little less well equipped, as well as a Horizon Pro, while Xgimi has just completed the range with two S Pro and Max models. They could perhaps replace the other Horizons in the long term, and we can count on an adjustable foot to manage the tilt of the video projector among the new designs.
Again, Dolby Vision is on the program, as is automatic focus and keystone correction with an integrated sound system as a bonus. Unfortunately, no Netflix on the horizon either (no pun intended), while most competitors in this segment benefit from it.
Two versions will be released: an S Max at €2,000 which will deliver a brightness of 3,100 ISO lumens, and a less bright S Pro (1,800 ISO lumens).
