Mova, Dreame's new brand to take on Xiaomi
Mova is a bit of a surprise at the IFA. This new brand created by Dreame and announced at the Berlin trade fair is entirely dedicated to small household appliances. Robot vacuum cleaners, stick vacuum cleaners, airfryers, floor washers and even toothbrushes: Mova is casting a wide net and promises to bring its prices down. De factothis new independent company, not content with hunting on Xiaomi's territory, will allow Dreame to diversify without harming its leading position in the vacuum segment (30% market share).
A well-equipped Mova robot vacuum cleaner for less than €500
Despite Dreame's dominance in the market, this does not prevent the small brand Mova from also including a robot vacuum cleaner model in its catalog. The E30 Ultra is a robot vacuum cleaner capable of also washing the floor. Despite a very reasonable price positioning – the manufacturer mentions a price tag of €499 in France – this model has a fairly prestigious technical sheet, starting with a suction power of 7000 Pa to be able to vacuum up heavy waste.
Obviously, suction power doesn't make a good robot, it's a balance to be found with an efficient navigation system, good obstacle management and a brush adapted for hard floors and carpets. And since we're talking about carpet, this robot vacuum cleaner is supposed to adapt its suction power depending on the surface it's passing over.
Versatile, the E30 Ultra also cleans the floor using its vibrating mop that automatically retracts when it approaches a carpet. This robot vacuum cleaner comes with an automatic emptying station that collects waste from the collector at the end of a cleaning cycle. This base is also capable of washing the pads, but unlike some more sophisticated models such as the Dreame L20 Ultra And Roborock S8 Pro Ultrathis small entry-level robot vacuum cleaner does not dry the pads after cleaning. It must be said that the price positioning of this model is very attractive: at less than €500, the E30 Ultra has everything to tickle the market leaders.
