The Caen International Fair, an emblematic event in the Normandy region, is the fruit of a long history rich in tradition and innovation.
Since its creation, it has captivated the public with its diversity, dynamism and international character. The history of the Fair dates back to its modest origins at the beginning of the 20th century, when the first commercial events were organized in Caen. However, it was in 1921 that the Fair really took off, with the creation of the Saint-Denis Fair. This fair, dedicated to agriculture, crafts and trade, quickly attracted a large audience and became an unmissable event in the economic and social life of the region.
Over the decades, the Saint-Denis Fair evolved to become the Caen International Fair as we know it today. It opened up to new sectors of activity, welcoming national and international exhibitors in fields as varied as industry, agri-food, crafts, tourism and new technologies.
The Caen International Fair is also the scene of numerous events, shows and conferences which enrich the visitor experience and contribute to its continued success.
From cooking demonstrations to concerts to art exhibitions, there is something for every taste and passion.
Today, the Caen International Fair remains a major event in the regional calendar and attracts thousands of visitors each year (135,000 in 2023). It remains a place of meetings, exchanges and discoveries, where traditions and innovations blend to offer a unique experience to all those who attend.
