Games can be purchased from Xbox stores in Hungary using any debit card without using VPN. Naturally, free cards will work best, ie Revolut etc.

Go to the corresponding game page in the Hungary store and click on the blue 'Buy' link and log in using your usual French account, you will first be asked to create an account address for that region if you don't have one set up already.
It will then ask you to add a payment option, this is where you will add the payment card of your choice.
