[Habitants] Donation of Fruit/Non-Fruit Trees by the Lyon Metropolis
Faced with the urgent need to adapt to climate change and the collapse of biodiversity, the Lyon Metropolis is taking action to strengthen the greening of the territory through its development policies.
To do this, it adopted the Nature Plan, one of the objectives of which is: “to support the greening of housing and private land”.
Indeed, the spaces offer an unprecedented potential for renaturation in large urban areas and by knock-on effect of the development of biodiversity in the city. It is therefore important to promote the greening of housing and private rights-of-way. The adoption of a tree by each person therefore contributes to the collective benefit of refreshing cities and promoting biodiversity.
Through this system, the Metropolis wishes to develop the planting of edible species and local plants, labeled “local plants”.
The Metropolis has set itself the objective of achieving the distribution of 2,000 trees by 2024.
Date of the event
The distribution will take place on Saturday, November 23 at Parc de Parilly and at the Lacroix-Laval estate.
When you register, you will be prompted to choose a 1-hour slot.
Residents wishing to benefit from this system must submit their request online, on the Toodego portal of the Metropolis before October 20, 2024.
