Pixel: This feature of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 16 arrives with Android 15

Beta after beta, Android 15 is improving. As the final version is about to arrive, the next update is making headlines, aka QPR1The second beta also reveals a very practical new feature: the limitation of the charge level.

Introduced in 2023 on the iPhone 15and reused in 2024 on the iPad Pro M4, iPad Air M2 And iPhone 16this feature allows you to limit the charge of your device to 80%.

The goal is to prevent the degradation of lithium-ion battery cells, which are more sensitive to extreme charge levels (i.e. those close to 0% or 100%). The implementation of such a feature in Android 15 thus seems welcome to improve battery life.

Inside, we find the traditional adaptive charge, finishing the last percentages of charge just before waking up, and the new option Limit to 80%.
