One UI 6.1.1: the new update is finally available for these Samsung devices
We discussed this a few days ago: One UI 6.1.1 has been made available on some modelsbut the South Korean firm was waiting a little before deploying the update more globally on older models. Today, it is done: many new models of smartphones and tablets are now eligible to download and install this update.
9 new models affected
The models affected by the arrival of the update are as follows: these are the Samsung Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, S23 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Tab S9, S9+ and S9 Ultra. As you will have understood: only the premium models of smartphones and tablets marketed last year by Samsung are now eligible to install this new update.
As a reminder, One UI 6.1.1 is all about artificial intelligence, with the integration of Galaxy AI. It is therefore logical that only a few relatively recent models can benefit from the software improvement enabled by One UI 6.1.1. Originally, the update was only deployed in South Korea, but now it is arriving in Europe for the first time.
Note that the One UI 7 update is still in preparation on Samsung's side, and could also arrive much earlier than expected: in fact, The latest reports indicated that it would be operational as early as this September.alongside the rollout of Android 15. For now, nothing has been made official by Samsung, so it is quite possible that we will have to wait a little longer to be able to enjoy it.
