Immerse yourself in the world of Baten Kaitos as you plan your strategy with the unique card-based battle system in these two immersive RPG masterpieces. Play as a Guardian Spirit who guides a small, colorful band as they struggle against fate.

In the past, humans and an evil god fought a terrible conflict. After a fierce battle, humans managed to seal the evil god, but this war left behind only a desolate land. Humans then decided to abandon this land and go live in the sky.

These tales became legends. Humans grew wings called the Wings of the Heart and lived a peaceful existence. This era was long and peaceful… But its collapse had silently begun.

It is when a young man calls you by your name, the name of a spirit, that this story begins. A story that takes place on a continent suspended in the air and where thoughts and prayers mix.

Magnus' unique combat system
In the world of Baten Kaitos, the true essences of all things, including equipment and items, can be extracted and stored within cards called Magnus. The contents of a Magnus can be released at any time, returning the essence of the magna sealed within it to its original form.

These Magnus form the basis of Baten Kaitos' combat system.
The clashes take place in real time, so you will need to react quickly to select the right Magnus depending on the situation.

Strategize against enemies of various elements using Elemental Magnus yourself, and experiment by mixing and matching different Magnus to discover and unlock powerful combo attacks!
