Chassis, connectivity, screen of the HP Pavilion 16-af0026nf
This laptop adopts an elegant and discreet look with its thin and light matte finish Natural Silver aluminum design.
Its connectivity is good, consisting of 2 USB-C, a practical HDMI video output to easily connect it to a TV or monitor for example, Wi-Fi 6 ax and Bluetooth 5.3 wireless modules for remote connections and communications, an audio port but also 2 USB 3.0 (compatible with USB 2.0) ensuring transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect USB 3.0 peripherals to it.
When not using the webcam it is possible to hide it behind a privacy shutter. Those who are concerned about their privacy will appreciate this.
To better distinguish the keys of the chiclet keyboard, you can activate its backlighting system.
The screen stands out with its 16/10 format, which is more comfortable in height than the classic 16/9, which displays more information.
For the rest, the Full HD screen adopts classic specifications and therefore has an anti-reflective treatment making it more readable than a glossy panel in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors).
Thanks to its IPS technology, its viewing angles, both horizontal and vertical, are significant. However, its colorimetry is classic since it does not benefit from high-end IPS.
HP Pavilion 16-af0026nf Performance, Battery Life
The HP Pavilion 16-af0026nf is a stylish, comfortable-form-factor laptop designed for everyday, on-the-go use.
As its weight is controlled and it is thin, this Ultrabook could interest nomads as well as some wishing to equip themselves with a Student laptop.
Because its autonomy is around 9 hours on battery in light use.
As a bonus, it is based on 16 GB of RAM and a recent processor, the low-power Intel Core Ultra 5 125U. Meteor Lake with 12 hybrid cores which houses the Iris Xe graphics solution.
So it delivers very good performance in everyday use. It is therefore suitable for surfing the Internet, office work, viewing HD photos and videos, and playing light games.
But also to carry out small multimedia treatments exploiting RAM and multicores, such as light photo retouching or video conversions.
The storage supports the heart of this laptop well on a daily basis since it is entrusted to an SSD clearly reinforcing the fluidity and responsiveness.
It must be said that in addition to being silent, energy-efficient and shock-resistant, an SSD is fast.
Concretely, thanks to the SSD, start-ups/stops are fast, as are processing and launching applications or even the arrival of online games on the cards.
Here we find a 512 GB SSD as under many portable PCs on the market.
However, if you need additional space, you can use an external storage unit. For fast transfers, you should preferably choose a USB 3.0/USB-C device.
