We were expecting more than him. A few weeks after the casting announcements of the members of the organization of Baroque Worksseason 2 of the series One Piece has just found the actor who will play their famous leader, Crocodile.

From DC to One Piece

And the live-action series of Netflix streaming platform didn't just choose just anyone, since it's actor Joe Manganiello who will take on the role of leader of the main antagonists of this new chapter.

Known for his roles in the series True Blood and the film trilogy Magic MikeManganiello had also appeared as Deathstroke in the Justice League by Zack Snyder. His casting as Crocodile therefore gives him the opportunity to have fun once again with an antagonist score.

Crocodile (or Sir Crocodile or Mr. O) is the leader of the criminal organization Baroque Works, who will find himself facing Luffy and the Straw Hat crew in this second season.

He is supported in his task by his right-hand man Nico Robin (or Miss All Sunday), who will be played by the little-known Lera Abova, seen in the film Anna by Luc Besson in 2019, or in the series Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin.

To keep fans waiting, Netflix has also shared a first making-of of this highly anticipated season 2 of the live-action series, to be discovered below.

Launching in August 2023, the first season of this live-action adaptation of One Piece has been a huge success, racking up 72 million views in 90 days. Its second season, currently filming in South Africa, is set to be released on Netflix in 2025.
