In addition to showing some of the sets from this season 2 (mostly within Wednesday's school), the video posted online by Netflix lets us glimpse the young girl with a torch or a knife in her hand, in short, as threatening as usual.
Filmmaker Tim Burton can also be seen at work. He is indeed in charge of four episodes of this season 2, a number identical to his work on the first season.
This short preview ends with Jenna Ortega's voice warning fans that “If we showed you more, your eyes would start bleeding, and I'm not that generous.”
As a reminder, the series Wednesday is created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar and follows Wednesday Addams' adventures at Nevermore Academy, where she learns to harness her newfound psychic powers. The first season was an incredible success on Netflix when it was released in November 2022, racking up over a billion hours of viewing and becoming the second most-watched series on the platform.
Several new actors have joined the cast of season 2, including Steve Buscemi (The Big Lebowski), Thandiwe Newton (Westworld) or even Billie Piper (Doctor Who) and Christopher Lloyd (The Addams Family).
Filming for this second season is set to continue until December 2024. No release date has been announced yet, but it's a safe bet that it will be available on Halloween 2025. While we wait to learn more, the first season of Wednesday is of course to watch or rewatch on Netflix.
