Epson EF21: a portable video projector for less than €1000 for a mini cinema at home
While many manufacturers launched their video projectors at IFA a few weeks ago, Epson is doing it a little later with a new laser model under Google TV. The EF-21 is a small format like the Hisense C1 and Xgimi Horizon, and it can therefore be carried in a bag. On the other hand, it is less well equipped than these two models, but also much more accessible:
Google TV, Full HD and low price
The projector only offers a simple Full HD definition (1920×1080), but it delivers a very decent brightness of 1000 lumens, as well as automatic focus and cropping features, all up to a diagonal of 150 inches. We are used to the Google TV interface which is very complete and allows access to all the usual streaming applications including Netflix.
The EF-21 also benefits from an integrated sound system and it will be offered in a second version called EF-22 which differs only by the presence of an integrated adjustable foot. An option that Epson charges quite dearly since the EF-21 will be sold for €900 while the EF-22 with foot will cost €1100.
