The OnePlus 13 is set to launch in China next month, with an international release expected a little later. Usually considered the underdog, the successor to the OnePlus 12 could prove to be a serious challenger to the high-end leaders expected in 2025.
A smartphone that shouldn't lag
According to rumors relayed on the Chinese social network Weibo by Digital Chat Stationthe OnePlus 13 could be granted up to 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. This configuration, already offered by its predecessor, the OnePlus 12, is unmatched by most current competitors, such as the Galaxy S24 Ultraone of the most powerful smartphones of 2024. If this is confirmed, this extra memory will be particularly interesting for fans of intensive multitasking and demanding games.
The OnePlus 13 would also benefit from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, the new chipset Qualcomm's top-of-the-range smartphone. Paired with a 6,000mAh battery, compatible with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging, this smartphone should prove particularly durable.
The device would also have a 6.8-inch Oled screen, with a QHD+ definition of 3168 x 1440 and slightly curved edges, which would hide an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. It would finally benefit from Hasselblad's expertise for its quadruple photo module and an IP69 waterproof certification.
A rise in power… and in price
However, such a spec sheet comes at a cost. Various sources indicate that the price of the model with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage could be higher than that of the OnePlus 12, whose prices were €969 for the 12/256 GB version and €1099 for the 16/512 GB version. Such an increase could push the price of the OnePlus 13 beyond the psychological barrier of €1000.
