Roborock Still Believes in Dust Bags
We thought they were definitively forgotten, relegated to the dustbin of household appliance history thanks to the rise of vacuum cleaners with integrated collectors. And yet, dust bags are holding out at Roborock since the brand's latest stick vacuum cleaner can accommodate these consumables. It is of course possible to do without them and get rid of the vacuumed waste by throwing it in the trash after the cleaning session.
Apart from this little originality, the H5 stick vacuum cleaner is a very classic stick model; it can be oriented in any direction, equipped or not with its suction tube in order to go and dust the most inaccessible corners of our homes. But who says classic does not necessarily mean totally devoid of innovation; Roborock has for example chosen a multi-cyclonic filtration to separate the air from the dust.
On the other hand, we forget the particle counter that allows the vacuum cleaner to modulate its suction power according to the dirt on the floor. In a similar vein, the brush that can recognize the surface on which it passes to adapt the rotation speed of the brush is not part of it. More annoying, no LED strip on the front, although very practical for spotting debris on dark floors or under furniture, has been provided.
Like any good vacuum cleaner, it needs a base to be stored. The H5's is fixed to the wall using screws and screws and dowels, which the less handy among us will not necessarily appreciate. However, it is not only used for storage, but also for recharging thanks to the connectors it is equipped with. It should be noted that a full charge allows 60 minutes of operation according to the technical sheet. We will therefore be somewhat wary of this promise since the measurements were probably taken at the lowest power level, without any electrical accessories connected.
Given these limited features, the Roborock H5 was launched at a rock-bottom price: you can get it for €300, but it's a safe bet that its price will drop very quickly.
