Chassis, connectivity, screen of the HP Pavilion 15-eh1026nf
With its thin and light anodized sandblasted aluminum mist blue design, this laptop has a sober and original appearance.
It is equipped with good connectivity with its USB-C, its Wi-Fi ax wireless modules (newer and more powerful than Wi-Fi ac) and Bluetooth 5.0 for wireless remote connections and communications, its practical HDMI video output for easy connection to a monitor or TV for example, its audio port or its 2 USB 3.0 (compatible with USB 2.0) guaranteeing transfers up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0 if you connect USB 3.0 peripherals to it.
Since a fingerprint reader is integrated, you can authenticate yourself by biometric recognition via Windows Hello technology.
The chiclet keyboard can be backlit, which is practical so that you can see its keys better when the ambient light is limited.
The screen lends itself well to displaying videos and more generally High Definition content because it adopts a 16:9 format coupled with a precise Full HD definition. In addition, its viewing angles, both horizontal and vertical, are important because it is adorned with IPS technology. On the other hand, this offers an average colorimetry lower than that of more high-end IPS panels. In any case, since it is anti-reflective, the screen is more readable than a glossy panel in a bright environment (e.g. outdoors).
HP Pavilion 15-eh1026nf Performance, Battery Life
The HP Pavilion 15-eh1026nf is a thin and light 15-inch High Definition laptop designed for everyday versatile use on the go.
It relies on a low-power AMD Ryzen 5 5500U Hexa Core Cezanne APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) processor paired with a good amount of 16GB of RAM to provide solid overall performance that will satisfy many users.
Those who occasionally perform modest processing using RAM and multi-core (e.g. photo editing) may be interested. But to often perform heavy work in this area, it is better to turn to a PC equipped with a non-low-power processor.
Same for gaming, we will opt for a computer equipped with a dedicated graphics card. Because here, we have to be content with light titles since the Radeon Vega 7 graphics solution integrated into the Ryzen 5 Hexa Core takes care of all the graphics and of course also allows you to view photos and videos.
On the storage side, we find an SSD with a capacity of 512 GB corresponding to what hard drives offer as standard. But compared to the latter, remember that an SSD has the advantage of consuming less energy, being more robust, silent and much faster.
In practice, the SSD guarantees much better fluidity and responsiveness on a daily basis than a simple hard drive. Thanks to the SSD, you benefit from much faster startups/shutdowns, processing and software launches, or even faster arrival on online game maps.
Of course, if you need more space, you can use an external storage unit such as a USB-C/USB 3.0 device to benefit from fast transfers.
As for the battery life of this computer, whose slimness and low weight make it easy to transport, expect around 7 hours of battery life with light use.
