iPhone 16: Having trouble using the new camera button? Here's the setting to change
While the Action button made its debut on the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, another button has arrived across the entire 2024 lineup: Camera Control. Allowing you to adjust different parameters and capture photos or videos in one click, this new device is one of the main new features compared to iPhone 15.
However, adapting to the latter can be quite difficult, especially when you have to press lightly on it. Android Authority also reports having trouble with the double light press, allowing you to open the settings palette.
Good news, the media has found a solution to its problem. Indeed, Apple offers a very practical accessibility setting to adapt the camera control button of iPhone 16 at your leisure. To access it, simply:
- Open the application Settings
- Go to the menu Accessibility
- Select the section Camera Control
- Scroll through the options until you reach the last one, named Double tap speed
- Choose a more suitable sensitivity than the option By defaulteither Slow Or Slower
- And there you have it, it's done!
It's also worth noting that Apple has brought three more Camera Control button customization options in this section. These range from toggles to disable the button completely, the light press, or the drag function, to adjusting the pressure for the light press pressure (lighter, default, or firmer).
