M6+ is impressively expanding its offering. The free platform of the terrestrial channel has just formalized a strategic agreement with Pluto TV.

The free, ad-supported streaming television service (“Free Ad-supported Streaming Television” in English, FAST), which is owned by the Paramount Global group, will notably add 12 of its channels to M6+.

3000 hours of additional content

This agreement thus allows an exchange of services and content between the two platforms. In detail, M6+ users will therefore find on their platform 12 channels from Pluto TV, and representing 3000 hours of content and famous programs: Baywatch, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Olive and Tom, MTV Classics

For its part, Pluto TV is recovering 6 channels from M6+ for 2000 hours of content, with shows such as No-Go Zone, Turbo, The queens of shopping or even The Marseillais.

This partnership does not stop at the simple catalog, since the two services also collaborate and especially at the level of their advertising strategy. M6 Publicité thus becomes the advertising partner of Pluto TV in France, which allows it to monetize the content of the platform on M6+.

The FAST channel sector is booming worldwide, and M6 has just acquired one of its major players. An agreement that sends a strong signal to its competitors, TF1 and its TF1+ platform in the lead.

Launched in May 2024, M6+ is a free live and streaming platform offering programs from the terrestrial channel, but also films and series from around the world without paying a cent, in exchange for a few advertisements. M6+ does offer a paid option at €5 per month, allowing you to deactivate advertising, and to have access to exclusive content several months before their broadcast.
