Oppo does not hide its ambition to make a strong comeback on the European market. In addition to headphones Enco X3i and the smartphone Reno 12 FS 5G Mid-range oriented, the Chinese firm presented in detail its new connected watch, the Oppo Watch X.

Powered by Google's Wear OS 4 operating system, the Oppo Watch X stands out mainly for its autonomy and its 500 mAh battery. The brand announces 100 hours in “smart mode” and up to 12 days in energy saving. With fast charging, 60 minutes should be enough to fully recharge it.

Integrated into a 46mm steel case, we find a 1.43-inch Amoled screen (466 x 466 pixels), with a resolution of 326 ppi and a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Inside, we find not one, but two chips: Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 SOC and BES2700 MCU. Enough, according to Oppo, to optimize the performance and consumption of the watch.

With its dual-frequency GPS and numerous sensors (oxygen, heart rate, etc.) and modes to monitor the wearer's health, the Oppo Watch X dreams of becoming a personal coach to appeal to serious athletes.

A watch that borrows a lot from another

The most observant will have noticed that all this is furiously reminiscent of the OnePlus Watch 2. After all, since Oppo and OnePlus are now part of the same group, it is not very surprising to find similarities. Many, many similarities. Only the brand logo, the colors offered and the price seem to change. Design and features seem identical.

The Oppo Watch X will be available in France at the beginning of November in two colors: Martian brown and platinum black. The price? €329. That's barely cheaper than the OnePlus Watch 2.
