The less occasional (like me), go for a “pro” brand (Bosch Pro, Makita, Dewalt, Hikoki, Milwaukee, ….).
However, I already had a Black & Decker (before I got a taste for DIY) and it served me well!
To get this price, you have to make a cashback of which you, French, have the right !!!!
Here are the conditions
For the characteristics, here they are (I'm doing it by hand because otherwise it's going to be a mess! I'm already doing one just for the introduction…):
- 2 speeds (0-300 or 0-1400 rpm)
- Percussion mode (21,000 percussions per minute)
- Max torque: 45 Nm
- Battery supplied: 1.5Ah (you can put bigger on it as long as it's a Black&Decker 18V battery)
- Charger included (0.4 amp charge. So you will need almost 4 hours of charging! Not the best but for occasional use, it's fine.
In conclusion, if you want to drill into the block to fix something, it will do it without any problem!
For reinforced concrete, she can also do it (I did it with my B&D before it died) but it will take time and battery.
