Full-featured robot vacuum cleaners for Xiaomi with the X20 Max and Pro
If Xiaomi is familiar with floor maintenance, it is less familiar with so-called “all-in-one” robot vacuum cleaners. If the X20+ serves as Xiaomi's high-end robot, the X20 Max and Pro are positioned above it.
Robot vacuum cleaners at the well-stocked station
Both robots come with a large charging base. Xiaomi then seems to be taking a direction already taken by many competitors: thinking of increasingly autonomous robot vacuum cleaners, considerably reducing human intervention.
The charging stations include a 2.5 liter dust bag designed to unload the robot's collector after vacuuming. The bases are also capable of taking care of the maintenance of the washing function thanks to two large water tanks: they are what water the robot and collect the dirty water after washing.
Their presence also ensures the self-cleaning function, which consists of rinsing the pads; with water heated to 55°C for the Max version. After which they both dry the mops for 3 hours, according to Xiaomi.
These features are available on some high-end robots, such as the Dreame L10s Pro Ultra Heat.
If the charging stations of the X20 Max and X20 Pro are all options, they nevertheless display a welcome format. They are in fact much more compact than those of other competitors. By way of comparison, that of Dreame L20 Ultra measures 42.6 x 60.6 x 49.9 cm, compared to 56.3 × 42 × 34 cm for the two Xiaomi. And that’s very good news!
Improved features
The Max version is the best equipped. It is equipped with an extendable mop that runs along the walls and furniture to find dust in every nook and cranny. This is a technology that we have already encountered, particularly on the Ecovacs T30s Combo Complete.
The suction power of the robot increases to 8000 Pa and is reduced to 7000 Pa for the Pro version; it is always more powerful than the S20+ and its 6000 Pa, which we have just tested. And to go anywhere in the home, the two devices raise their mops when a carpet arrives, which allows them to continue cleaning on different surfaces.
The X20 Pro wins the battery life battle since it can clean for nearly 2 hours 40 minutes, compared to 2 hours for the Max, according to Xiaomi.
Either. These two robot vacuum cleaners seem to be the most advanced from Xiaomi. Their price has still not been communicated.
