Xiaomi Mix Flip: the foldable smartphone becomes available in France
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip killer?
If Samsung can easily be considered the pioneer of foldable smartphones taking the form of a clamshell (Z Flip) or a small tablet (Z Fold) once opened, it must be admitted that the South Korean firm has relied somewhat on its laurels for several years. Thus, the competition is starting to become more and more aggressive, and this new Xiaomi Mix Flip is the most striking proof of this. If its price (€1,299) is similar to that of the Z Flip 6, the Mix Flip hits the ground running with impressive technical characteristics that risk overshadowing Samsung's most recent model.
The Mix Flip indeed has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, a substantial 4780 mAh battery (this is more than the Z Flip 6 with its 4000 mAh), a larger external screen with 4.01 inches and a photo module reaching the 50 Mp. On the other hand, this Mix Flip does not come without flaws: the absence of IP certification for water resistance and the non-support of wireless charging could have a negative impact on the sales of this model which wants to establish itself as a credible alternative to the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
