Ligue 1: DAZN plays a new seduction card with 7 free days of competition
While Amazon played the accessibility card with a price of 15 €/month to follow Ligue 1, DAZN has clearly alienated football fans with its offer of €39.99/month without commitment and €29.99/month with 12-month commitment.
Until September 29 at midnight, the broadcaster had tried to make up for it by launching a promotion on its subscriptions, bringing them down to €19.99/month.
A first attempt whose effectiveness is still unknown, but which already marks the launch of another seduction operation. Indeed, DAZN has just announced the opening of a 7-day trial period from September 30, 2024.
Available during the day, the latter will allow you to follow the 7th day of Ligue 1, i.e. the following matches:
- October 4
- Marseille – Angers (10:45 p.m.)
- October 5
- Saint-Étienne – Auxerre (5 p.m.)
- Lille – Toulouse (7 p.m.)
- Rennes – Monaco (9 p.m.)
- October 6
- Lyon – Nantes (3 p.m.)
- Brest – Le Havre (5 p.m.)
- Strasbourg – Lens (5 p.m.)
- Reims – Montpellier (5 p.m.)
- Nice – Paris Saint-Germain (8:45 p.m.)
The opportunity to “discover the DAZN ecosystem” without breaking the bank, and without commitment. After these free seven days, users can choose to cancel free of charge or subscribe to the monthly or annual plan… full price.
Without a commercial gesture afterwards, it is not certain that the testers will take out the credit card to continue the experience.
It must be said that new formulas seem much more than necessary to achieve the profitability objective mentioned during the summer by the company's CEO, set at 1.5 million subscribers during the first six months.
