Peaky Blinders: a first image of Cillian Murphy in the future Netflix film
By order of the Peaky Blinders… Tommy Shelby is back! The movie Peaky Blinders of Netflix is now filming in the United Kingdom and a first image by Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer) in the guise of the famous Birmingham gangster was unveiled by the streaming platform.
The return of Tommy Shelby
It is with graying hair and a thoughtful look that we can recognize Tommy Shelby, leader of the gang at the heart of the series Peaky Blindersin the first preview below. The film coming soon to the streaming platform follows the events of the series, and relies on the screenwriting talents of Steven Knight, its creator.

“I’m excited to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II,” said Knight to Netflix. “The country is at war as are, of course, our Peaky Blinders.”
The film is directed by Tom Harper, to whom we already owe several episodes of the series which was entitled to six seasons broadcast between 2013 and 2022 on the English channel BBC. BBC Film and Netflix are also associated with the production of this feature film.
A growing cast
Aside from Murphy, it's not yet clear specifically which actors from the original series will be returning for the Netflix film. On the other hand, we know the identity of several new stars who will cross paths with the Birmingham gang.
So, Rebecca Ferguson (Dune, Silo), Barry Keoghan (Saltburn, The Banshees of Inisherin) and Tim Roth (pulp Fiction, The eight bastards) will be there. However, no information regarding their roles has yet been communicated.
