New Disney+ releases: films, series and documentaries to watch in streaming in October 2024

Like its rivals Netflix, Prime Video And Canal+the streaming platform Disney+ arrives with a nice batch of new films, series and documentaries added to its catalog in October 2024.

Doctor Odyssey

Max is the new ship's doctor on a luxury cruise ship where the crew works hard in very festive conditions. Max and his small team will have to demonstrate great ingenuity to manage both extraordinary medical emergencies and their personal relationships, hundreds of kilometers from the shore.

You like Dr. House ? You like The cruise has fun ? You will undoubtedly love Doctor Odysseynew creation by Ryan Murphy (Glee, Dahmer) which brings together medical drama, romance and glitter on a luxury cruise ship. In the role of the doctor in question, Joshua Jackson (Dawson, Fringe) seems to be having the time of his life and (above all) not taking it all very seriously. A perfect program to relax during the month of October.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

As she prepares to settle in Knowhere, our favorite band of misfits sees their destiny turned upside down by echoes of Rocket's dark past. Determined to save the life of his teammate, Peter Quill, still in shock from the loss of Gamora, reassembles his squad for a perilous mission. A mission which, if not carried out, could well lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a tragicomic blockbuster with such a big heart, which manages to give a new dimension and power to its characters and themes. An adventure which does not succeed in everything it undertakes, getting lost a little along the way, but which provides a successful conclusion to the trilogy. The film stands out as the best Marvel since Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Just that.
