Windows 11: the 24H2 update is finally available for everyone
In addition to the addition of new features boosted by AI with an update to Copilot+ announced for regulars of the Windows Insider program, Microsoft also took the opportunity to deploy the 24H2 version of Windows 11, and without having to go through a beta this time! Thus, this major update is made publicly accessible, which means that it is already possible for those who are impatient to make the transition.
To take advantage of it, simply go to the settings of your device, then click on the Windows Update tab. The update should then appear at the top of the newly displayed window. If not, click “Get the latest updates as soon as they become available”, then start searching for an update again: Windows 11 24H2 should then appear, allowing you to start the download and initiate the installation of the update.
What does Windows 11 24H2 bring?
The changes brought by Windows 11 24H2 are numerous. First, this update allows the inclusion of a whole bunch of interface improvements, changes to the Windows 11 Settings application, support for HDR wallpapers, among others. But that's not all: Windows 11 also finally brings support for Wi-Fi 7, connectivity improvements for Bluetooth, a reworked file explorer, but also much better connectivity when using the Remote Desktop function (to control the device remotely). Finally, a somewhat overlooked but no less interesting novelty lies in a whole bunch of changes made to energy consumption: more options are now available to save a little battery and optimize electricity consumption.
