End clap for Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4090
The availability of the GeForce RTX 4090, queen of graphics cards, is getting complicated. In France, LDLC only offers four models out of the fourteen initially listed. Seven are out of stock and three Asus models will be restocked soon.
The increasingly rare GeForce RTX 4090
If the situation in France remains manageable for the moment, our German neighbors are facing a more pronounced shortage. Stocks are almost exhausted, and no restocking date has yet been announced.
This strong demand is explained by the exceptional performance of the GeForce RTX 4090. It is particularly popular with demanding gamers who want to play in 4K, content creators looking for maximum computing power, and companies that exploit the artificial intelligence thanks to its 24 GB of video memory, ideal for large language models.
RTX 5090 32 GB for January 2025
The rumor of an imminent cessation of production of the GeForce RTX 4090, which appeared last September, seems to be confirmed. The consequences of this decision are already being felt with a growing shortage. Users looking for a high-end graphics card with a large video memory capacity will have to wait until January 2025, the supposed release date of the GeForce RTX 5090. The latter should be equipped with 32 GB of GDDR7 and a 512-bit bus, thus offering even higher performance.
