K70 Core TKL: Corsair expands its gaming keyboard offering with a mid-range model
Whether you opt for the wired version or wirelessthe Corsair K70 Core TKL (without numeric keypad, therefore) features pre-lubricated MLX Red v2 linear switches with a guarantee of 80 million clicks, according to the brand's press release. Already silent, these switches see their resonance even more attenuated by the presence of two sound-absorbing foam plates.
Now essential on keyboards gamingthe K70 Core TKL offers its own version of SOCD Cleaning, this controversial technology that allows higher priority to be given to the first or last key pressed. At Corsair, it goes by the name Flash Tap — at Asus, we talk about Speed Tap and Snap Tap on the Razer side. This is logically optional and can be activated in a single command.
Still in the area of additional features, the K70 Core TKL has a multifunction wheel in its upper right corner, and allows you to adjust the volume, backlighting and all other usual functions. If its wired version uses classic USB-C connectivity, its wireless counterpart can be used via Bluetooth and with a 2.4 GHz dongle with the promise of 2400 hours and 890 hours of battery life respectively.
The K70 Core TKL is available for €100, while its iteration wireless around €150. Note that only the wireless version includes the wrist rest.
