Oppo Find X8: end of suspense for this future high-end smartphone
The Find X8 should have great promises in its bag, even if it means question Samsung on the existence of its standard models in the Galaxy S range. While waiting for an announcement from Oppo, the rumors clarify things about this future high-end.
The latest news is that a leaker shared the almost complete technical sheet of the smartphone on Weibo on October 4. To begin with, we learn that theOppo Find X8 would benefit from a 6.5-inch OLED panel with 1.5K definition, ultra-thin borders and a fingerprint sensor under the screen.
Performance would then be ensured by the Dimensity 9400 chip, whose announcement by MediaTek is scheduled for mid-week. For the photo part, it is simply shared that a 50 Mpx Sony LYT-600 telephoto lens with x3 optical zoom would be present.
Autonomy seems to be a strong point of this generation, given that the battery would go up to 5,700 mAh, compared to 5,000 mAh on the Find X7 and Find X7 Ultra. Fast charging would, however, drop in power, falling to 80 W instead of 100 W.
Oppo has still confirmed a major development: magnetic wireless charging, like Apple's MagSafe technology. The leak also highlights that it would be 50 W, or twice as powerful compared to that of the iPhone 16.
On the design side, the smartphone would benefit from a thickness of 7 mm, a weight of 190 grams, a metal chassis, a glass back and resistance to dust and water IP68/ 69. Four colors would be included: white, black, blue and pink.
Tipster Anvin added on Twitter/X that the Find Camera controls of the iPhone 16. No Action button however, we would in fact remain on a slider to switch from ringing to silent mode.
