Rings of Power: will the Prime Video series have a season 3?
An almost official season 3
As we learned last Februarythe showrunners of Rings of Power, JD Payne and Patrick McKay have renewed their contract with Amazon and have already set about the task of preparing the continuation of the adventures of Galadriel, Sauron, Durin and company.
But that's not all! Now during a Prime Video UK Upfront presentation in London last week, Amazon MGM Studios highlighted The Rings of Power with advertisers, specifying that the second season has so far accumulated 55 million spectators. As our colleagues at Hollywood Reporterstudios are not in the habit of promoting to buyers content that they consider to have no future.
Especially since Payne and McKay have, for their part, already recruited the writers for season 3: Justin Doble, Ben Tagoe, Ava Wong Davies, Constance Cheng, Jonathan Wilson, Griff Jones and Sarah Anson.
Everything therefore seems to indicate that the third season of Rings of Power is already acquired and all that remains is to officially announce it. In the same way, The Hollywood Reporter indicates that Amazon still intends to stick to the plan of making a series with a total of five seasons.
So while waiting for an official announcement from Prime Video and to have more details on the future of Middle-earth, you can now see the entire season 2 of Rings of Power on Amazon's streaming service.
