The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3 15IAH8 (83ER00EQFR) is a thin and light 15-inch laptop with high processor performance.
This Ultrabook is in fact driven by an Intel Core i5-12450H Alder Lake processor housing 8 hybrid cores but also the Iris Xe graphics part.
This Core i5 reveals its potential in areas that are intensive in processor resources using multi-core, such as photo editing or video editing, areas in which it provides faster processing than a classic Quad Core.
Lenovo accompanies the Core i5-12450H with a good amount of RAM of 16 GB.
We therefore benefit from very good general performance which will satisfy many users.
Although this laptop is not aimed at gamers since it does not include a dedicated graphics card, it nevertheless allows you to play light games as well as watch photos and HD videos. And this is thanks to the benefits of the Iris Xe graphics solution directly inserted into the Core i5.
The integrated SSD storage supports the heart of this mobile computer very well since it significantly improves responsiveness and fluidity.
Thanks to the SSD we benefit in practice from rapid starts/stops as well as processing and starts/stops in particular.
An SSD is indeed fast, in addition to being silent, energy efficient and robust.
A 512 GB SSD is offered here, a classic solution similar to that of many models on the market – including (much) more expensive ones.
Obviously, if you need additional space, you can use an external storage unit. To obtain fast transfers, we preferably prefer a USB 3.0/USB-C device.
As for autonomy, count on around 6 hours of battery operation in light use for this Ultrabook whose thinness and controlled weight make transport easier.
This model may be of interest to some who wish to have a Student laptop efficient in terms of processor at a low price, not needing high autonomy.
In any case, expect heat and noise when this laptop is pushed hard.
To contain its temperatures, it can be combined with a ventilated support (remember to check the dimensions carefully!).
