Nobody Wants This: Netflix already confirms a season 2 for the series of the moment

Sometimes, Netflix suddenly cancels series barely a month after their release. But other times, the streaming platform has firm confidence in the ability of a program to attract crowds. This is the case with Nobody Wants Thiswhich was just renewed for a second season after only two weeks on the air.

Everybody wants this

Contrary to what its title (which translates into French as “nobody wants that”) indicates, Nobody Wants This is a real success on Netflix since its arrival on the SVOD service on September 26. In just two weeks, this rom-com with Kristen Bell (The Good Place) and Adam Brody (Newport Beach) has completely won over subscribers to the platform and has positioned itself in the top 10 of the most viewed English-language series on Netflix. It is currently in first place, with 26.2 million views to its credit.

We have to admit that we understand why. The series, which follows “the improbable relationship between an agnostic woman who doesn't have her tongue in her pocket and an unconventional rabbi” is a real breath of fresh air in the romantic comedy genre.

Praised everywhere, it particularly knew how to conquer the hearts of the public by featuring two characters evolving in a healthy romantic relationship, the opposite of the love stories full of messy drama that we are used to seeing.

Season 2 should therefore continue to tell the story of Joanne and Noah's wanderings, but under the supervision of new showrunners. Jack Burditt (Modern Family) leaves its place to Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan (who collaborated on the HBO series Girls), while series creator Erin Foster (The New Normal), will continue to be executive producer and screenwriter.

While waiting to see the rest of the series, the first season of Nobody Wants This is to be enjoyed without delay on Netflix.
