A broken internet connection
According to Windows ReportWindows 11 24H2 cuts the internet connection. One of the operating system users talks about this bug on the Microsoft forum explaining that the problem occurs both wired and over Wi-Fi with no access to the network and an IP address that starts with 169.
Other Internet users have reported this problem and specify that the inability to connect did not happen immediately. Private machines but also those connected to servers would be impacted.
The solution? Cancel the update to return to Windows 11 23H2. Bad news, it may not work as reported by a user, forced to reset their PC.
About 8 GB which cannot be deleted
Every major Windows update comes with a multi-gigabyte Windows Update cache that can be deleted. Except that in the case of 24H2, between 8 and 10 GB cannot be purged for certain users. To do this, in the Start menu, type “main.cpl” (or go through Control Panel) and click on it. From the window “Property of: Mouse”go to the tab “Pointers” then scroll to “Text selection”. In the list of icons, find “beam_r” and select it to make the cursor reappear.
Other Windows 11 24H2 bugs
