Although it attracted a lot of attention when it was released, the Apple Vision Pro should not be Apple's reference device when it comes to talking about augmented reality in the future. The competition demonstrates this well, notably at Meta recently with its revelation of the Meta Orion: the trend is rather towards discreet glasses, and the Apple Vision Pro, despite its many qualities, cannot really be worn in public, under penalty of seem like a robot disconnected from reality. Apple Glass not available before 2027

According to Mark Gurman, Bloomberg journalist and traditional writer of a newsletter every week, Apple is indeed working on smart glasses, but these are not expected to become available for a while. Currently called “Apple Glass”, they could indeed be launched on the market by 2027. And if Meta has already presented its Orionthe latter are only at the prototype stage: according to Mark Zuckerberg's firm, we would have to wait 2 years before seeing them marketed (this would correspond to the end of 2026/beginning of 2027). Ultimately, Apple would therefore be on time.

Furthermore, in addition to these new smart glasses, Apple is currently working on a new concept of Airpods which have cameras. This is not the first time that such a rumor has made headlines. These IR cameras integrated into AirPods would thus improve spatial audio by detecting the user's environment. That's not all: Gurman takes advantage of his newsletter to confirm a previous report from himaccording to which Apple is currently working on a new home device. The Apple firm would indeed like to establish itself a little more in the home automation market, and is preparing to launch various products to directly expand the Apple ecosystem.
