€39.99 per month is the price of the Unlimited subscription without commitment to follow Ligue 1 at DAZN. For comparison, Prime Video's Ligue 1 Pass was increased to a maximum of€14.99 per month. Diametrically opposed prices, which have clearly impacted the success of the official broadcaster platform from the 2024-2025 to 2028-2029 seasons.
Indeed, this formula has been strongly criticized by football fans, and even the version with an annual commitment at €29.99 per month raises eyebrows. The latter thus chose to the hacking optionwhich DAZN tries as best it can to counter with discreet promotional offers, a seven-day free trial or even a watermark…
Decisions which would have little impact according to cybersecurity specialists, who rather suggest the launch of new, more affordable formulas. According to Sacha Nokovitch, a first solution of this type would finally be ready.
In a publication Twitter/X shared on October 12, the journalist from L'Équipe explained that an offer of €29.99 per month for two simultaneous connections would arrive during this week.
“For the first time, with subscription sharing, it will be possible to pay 15 euros/month for your subscription, a psychological threshold that has been put forward by several fans for a long time,” he explains.

Although this change allows DAZN to realign its offer with the price that football fans expect (i.e. the same as Pirme Video at the time), the advantage of having an additional screen does not take away its price, which remains unchanged.
Indeed, it's a safe bet that this €29.99 per month comes with a 12-month commitment. The latter is also less and less interesting over the weeks, given that Ligue 1 has already started since August 16, and that the competition will stop from mid-May to mid-August 2025.
It should also be noted that people disappointed by DAZN's offer have already found alternatives, in particular by subscribing to much more accessible IPTV services or by watching in streaming on Telegram and the web.
It is therefore a safe bet that this new attempt at seduction will have difficulty convincing the public, expecting much better than that in terms of pricing or even in terms of the content offered.
In response to Sacha Nokovitch's publication, @ZBaldeus underlines: “For many, the psychological threshold of €15/m was for a match, replay & pre/post-match and daily broadcast offer. We are a long way from that…”.
