More than one smartphone is expected in the coming weeks:multiple teasers surrounding the device report that the OnePlus 13 will soon be made official, and Oppo – its sister brand – has for its part confirmed its intention to unveil the Find X8 on October 24. Two high-end terminals to say the least whose technical sheet is starting to become clearer, both in terms of the chip that will power them and for their design. A new element has been added today.

After a first image teaserit is the announcement of a presentation signed BOE which allows you to get an idea of the screens to expect. The Chinese equipment manufacturer is in fact planning the formalization of a panel this October 15 at 2 p.m. in partnership with Oppo and OnePlus, which leaves little mystery surrounding the identity of the smartphones that will be equipped with it, especially since the OnePlus 13 is clearly mentioned. BOE doesn't skimp on promises, indicating that this second generation “2K Oriental” panel breaks nothing less than 21 display records. And to add that the DisplayMate organization has awarded it, for the first time in the world of mobile panels, A++ certification. So many elements which give hope for perfect calibration and record brightness, since their predecessors did not exceed the A+ rating.

The return of curved screens

Add to this that it is a flexible Oled panel: it is therefore a safe bet that the Find X8 and OnePlus 13 feature a curved panel on four sides to make the most of this characteristic. The two brands would therefore be going against the current trend, which favors flat screens, like iPhone 16 or Pixel 9.

To get a more precise idea of the screen, you have to rely on the usual information leaks. Digital Chat Station, a master in the art of leaks, understands that this screen will offer a diagonal of 6.82 inches, a dynamic refresh rate of up to 120 Hz thanks to a new generation LTPO. It remains to be seen whether OnePlus intends to enter the race for records in terms of brightness again this year, which last year promised a maximum of 4500 cd/m².
