Nothing is preparing a new smartphone with an astonishing design
There's a little bit of OnePlus left in Nothingand this is not surprising when we know that the two brands have the same founder: Carl Pei. The two brands are in fact very attentive to their community, even if it means launching products thanks to their feedback.
This was particularly the case recently for OnePlus with the Pouch external batteryand it's now reality for Nothing. Indeed, Digital Trends shared that the London brand has been discussing with members of its community since March 2024 around a future new version of the Phone (2a).
“The first step was the hardware design, the second step was the wallpapers, the third step was the packaging of the new phone, and finally the last step was the marketing”explains the media. At each stage, votes were taken into account, thus gradually validating the various elements of this new version.
Result: the “Community Edition” of the Nothing Phone (2a) will be available in a light green color, with a phosphorescent coating for certain elements of the back cover.
The wallpapers as well as the packaging of this variation have also been revealed, sporting, without much surprise, the same shades.
To tease the arrival of this new version, Nothing surprisingly used a poster with an insect. To match the color, a glow worm, also called a firefly, was logically chosen. We note in passing an announcement date: October 30, 2024 at 9 a.m. (11 a.m. GMT).
The characteristics of Phone (2a) Community Edition have not been discussed, which means that the same technical sheet would be there:
