Invincible (Prime Video): season 3 offers a funny and meta teaser, plus a release date

That the fans ofInvincible rejoice! More than six months after the broadcast of its last episodes, the superhero series based on Robert Kirkman's comics finally gives its news, with the very first teaser for its season 3.

Unpublished images which make fun of this long wait, but which also and above all come with good news: its upcoming broadcast date on the Prime Video streaming platform.

A season 3 without a break

The teaser for this third season takes place in a Burger Mart – the fictional fast-food restaurant in the series – where Mark is surprised by Cecil Stedman, the director of the Global Defense Agency.

He does not hold back from calling the young superhero to order, and asking him to return to work. The opportunity for the series to make its mea culpa on the long waiting time between seasons 2 and 3, and to make us smile in the process.

As a reminder, the series tells the adventures of young Mark Grayson, after he discovers that his father is the most powerful superhero in the world, Omni-Man. The teenager will then also develop powers, and decide to follow – or not – in the footsteps of his father.

The big information from this teaser is above all the release date of this new chapter of six episodes, scheduled for February 6, 2025 on Prime Video. The series will broadcast one episode per week until its finale on March 13.

And yes, that’s the other good news! This season 3 will not be cut into two parts like its predecessor, which split its broadcast between November 2023 and March 2024, to the great dismay of its fans.

The series Invincible is based on the comics by Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead, Marvel Zombies), and co-created by Kirkman and Simon Racioppa (Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Boys: Diabolical). In the original voice cast, we find some nice names such as Steven Yeun, JK Simmons, Sandra Oh, Zazie Beetz, Walton Goggins and Gillian Jacobs.

Under its guise of a funny and impertinent superheroic series which can recall the spirit of The Boys, Invincible turns out to be more touching and intelligent than she appears. It is thus a beautiful reflection on family and the weight of heritage, and has won over the public thanks to the accuracy of its writing, establishing itself as one of the most popular original Prime Video programs.

Moreover, while waiting for season 3 scheduled for February 2025, a fourth season is already in the pipeline.
