A cell to dissect: 2h30 to understand the architecture of the old Espalion prison
An escape game as an introduction to architecture? Have you dreamed of it? We did it!
After taking up the challenge, your children and teenagers will create a model of a cell from the old prison.
Accompanied by an architect specializing in workshops for young audiences, they will discover the materials and assembly techniques used at the time. From the walls to the furniture, they will create a scale model as real as life, to take home.

The Espalion cellular prison: an innovative model in the 19th century
The Museum of Morals and Customs invites you to a round table around the French prison model of the 19th century: the former Espalion prison is a striking reflection of it.
You will be able to discover the history of the building and its different occupations with Mickael Jean-Baptiste Boyer, responsible for training in History at the National School of Prison Administration, Monique Dugué-Boyer who is writing a thesis on Etienne Boissonnade (the architect of the prison d'Espalion) and Patrick Mercier who will share with you memories and anecdotes of his youth in this building.
