DAZN: the false good idea of the new subscription with two simultaneous screens

Everything to seduce, but not in a good way. By launching its new Unlimited+ formula (with 12-month commitment, and at €29.99 per month instead of €49.99 per month until October 27, 2024), DAZN has in fact added a new controversial argument: the distribution of content on two devices simultaneously.

This addition should be temptingbut, reading between the lines, we understand that DAZN takes football fans for gullibles (and cash cows by the way). Indeed, Clubic spoke with a technician from the Ligue 1 broadcaster on this subject, and the response received was most disappointing: “With the Unlimited+ package, you will be able to connect on a maximum of 5 devices, and broadcast the same content on two devices connected to the same IP address”.

A clarification which is very important, given that one would think at first glance that the two screens simultaneously would make it possible to share an account with a loved one who does not live in the same household. This approach would also have made it possible to lower the bill to around €10 per month per person with the new promotional offer… but hey.

DAZN still does not seem to understand the problem with its offer: the price. Although the latest discounts are enticing, adding a false advantage should not make it easier. As long as the official broadcaster of Ligue 1 does not at least align with the offer of his predecessor (Prime Video) at €14.99 per month, it seems difficult to see regulars leaving the comfort they found in piracy.
