This series is a production of Guillermo del Toro, director of Pan's Labyrinth and of The Shape of Waterwhich highlights eight deliciously horrific stories. A gothic anthology that mixes ghosts, monsters and deep fears, in the spirit of the stories we told ourselves when we were little. The icing on the cake, in addition to a prestigious casting, the episodes are directed by big names in the genre: Jennifer Kent (Mister Babadook), Vincenzo Natali (Cube), Panos Cosmatos (Mandy) or Ana Lily Amirpour (The Bad Batch).
Dracula

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, creators of the acclaimed Sherlockadapt the famous novel by Bram Stoker and deliver a prestigious mini-series revitalizing the iconic figure of the vampire. The sophisticated staging transcends the folklore and bloody visual universe of the Romanian count, despite his seen and reviewed history. Result, a beautiful, modern series carried by the excellent Claes Bang (The Square).
Archive 81

Inspired by a horror podcast, Archive 81 is one of Netflix's little-known gems. Without reinventing the genre, this series produced by James Wan (Insidious) intrigues as it can terrify. There intersect sects, demons and a few moments gorewithout falling into the easy spectacular. A good choice if you're looking to shiver without feeling nauseous.

Around this blended family which is struggling to put the pieces back together, strange behaviors appear and an epidemic begins.
This prequel to the famous zombie series, still made up of eight seasons, is an excellent surprise thanks to its writing and its gallery of realistic and endearing characters. Fear The Walking Dead also takes the opportunity to provide a fine critique of society and skillfully plays on its “countdown” aspect to increase the tension and captivate us. For fans, but not only.

We almost forget that we are watching a Marvel series as the series manages quickly, and without the slightest difficulty, to impose its own universe. The tone of the show remains faithful to the MCU, not neglecting to inject well-felt doses of humor, without being afraid to flirt with horror. The series Agatha All Along proves to be both entertaining and ingenious, but equally dark and disturbing. A great success.
