Like every year following Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit, and perhaps even more so given the leap in performance announced by the star of the event, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the smartphone manufacturers are preparing the presentation of their mobile spearheads. Among them, Realme, which announced last week its intention to formalize a model called GT7 Pro, and which looks quite exciting. The majority of its technical characteristics are now known, thanks to information revealed by TENAA, the Chinese telecoms certification body.

With the Snapdragon 8 Elite, an XXL battery

According to the elements thus revealed, the GT7 Pro will be equipped with a large 6.78-inch screen displaying 2780 x 1264 pixels, and based on Oled technology. This panel should hide an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, technology which is starting to become more popular – at least on high-end smartphones. Under its hood, and to accompany the famous Snapdragon 8 Elite chipRealme would have opted for 8, 12, 16 or 24 GB of RAM and for storage ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. Above all, the smartphone promises to be equipped with a very high capacity battery, since it We are talking about 6500 mAh, well beyond the regulatory 5000 mAh on most current terminals. The device would be capable of charging at 120W, without much surprise, since the GT6 recently tested by us offers the same charging power. Good news also, TENAA confirms that the smartphone, despite its impressive battery, will not be excessively heavy: its weight should be 223 grams.

A word finally on the photo aspect of the device: there are two 50 megapixel sensors on the back (with a wide-angle and a 3x telephoto lens), as well as an 8 Mpx sensor associated with ultra-wide optics -corner. A rather classic photo component supported by a 16 megapixel front camera.

The Realme GT7 Pro is expected from November 4, the date chosen for the presentation of the device, in India at least, while a European launch is to be hoped for in early 2025. A few elements remain to be confirmed: if we know that the smartphone will run Android 15 accompanied by Realme UI 6.0, the number of years of software support must be specified, as well as the crux of the matter, namely the price of the terminal.
