Oppo's return to the European market, and particularly French, after the closure of its French offices in the summer of 2023, began with the arrival of the Reno 12 serieswhich we have also tested the Pro version in the summer of 2024. The brand has since offered a few mid-range smartphones, but is expected for other terminals: its flagships. It must be said that the BBK Electronics firm has long been popular with its Find X series, and that the absence of versions 6 and 7 on the European market has been felt.

Oppo confirms today that its next Find X will not be reserved for Asian markets. In a press release, the brand ensures that a “international launch” is planned for its Find X8 and Find X8 Pro models, which will be accompanied by the ColorOS 15 interface. If no details about it have emerged, we can nevertheless refer to OxygenOS 15, freshly unveiled by OnePlus – Oppo's sister brand – to get an idea of what the overlay of future smartphones will undoubtedly be.

Although Oppo has not yet specified the international launch date of its Find X8 series, we already know that the smartphones will be released in China next month, in November. Their technical sheet is no longer a secret, since they have been discreetly made official on their domestic market, and are already available for pre-order on the Oppo portal. On the pro model side, we retain high-end features, including a 6.78-inch Amoled screen (2780 x 1264 pixels, at 1600 cd/m²), a Dimensity 9400 chip from MediaTek compatible with wifi 7, four photo modules of 50 megapixels each (wide-angle, ultra-wide-angle, telephoto lens equivalent to 73 mm and zoom equivalent to 135 mm), not to mention a 5910 mAh battery. Four versions of the device are available, with 12 to 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB to 1 TB of storage, a 16 GB/1 TB version even being compatible with satellite communications.

The Find X8, for its part, is slightly more compact, being equipped with a 6.59-inch Amoled display. It loses the telephoto module equivalent to 135 mm of the Pro model and has a 5630 mAh battery, but for the rest, it has the same technical sheet as its counterpart. It now remains to be confirmed whether Oppo intends to market the two devices in all markets, or whether it intends to favor one or the other of these two smartphones depending on the country. And of course, if the brand plans technical amendments to its products as part of their global launch.
